The Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CCTFA) is the only national association that represents the interests of brandowners, distributors, custom manufacturers, retail, and associate member companies that provide products and services for the personal care industry in Canada.

CCTFA provides members with an environment where they can network and share ideas through participation on committees, seminars, events and conferences. CCTFA keeps members informed of current and emerging issues that may ultimately impact their business.  

Government & Regulatory

Government Relations/Advocacy to ensure our members needs are met by maintaining a constant dialogue with government regulators. This guarantees ongoing development and effective representation of industry positions on all regulatory matters. This is the best way to positively influence elected officials, regulators and deal with media and special interest groups.

Regulatory Support to assist our members in managing and keeping abreast of regulatory issues that can affect their organization now and in the future. This includes regulatory workshops, online members-only regulatory information, the monthly Regulatory Report as well as access to regulatory staff.

The Regulatory Report – This monthly report provides timely information and updates on regulatory issues, current industry news and upcoming regulatory meetings and events.

Regulatory Workshops - Keeps members current on regulatory developments and important industry issues. Government representatives and technical experts are regular participants and presenters. Additional ad-hoc meetings occur as necessary.

Communications

Member Newsletter – Monthly electronic newsletter keeping members abreast of industry news, CCTFA events and general interest items.

Website - Members-Only section provides in-depth and up-to-date information for members, including a current Membership Directory and Position Papers.

Education and Networking

Annual Business Conference - Provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore current issues.

Holiday Luncheons - Held in Toronto and Montreal and in conjunction with Educational Seminars, these provide an additional opportunity to network in a social environment.

Seminars - The Association sponsors a number of general and specialized seminars tailored to meet the needs of member companies and provide an opportunity to exchange ideas, explore current issues and seek solutions to common problems.

Products

Access to Industry Technical and Regulatory Publications - To assist members with questions and issues relating to their products. These publications are invaluable to companies doing business in Canada and CCTFA members receive a discount on all publications.

Membership Directory - The CCTFA's online directory is a current list of all CCTFA Member companies, authorized representatives and other contacts, brand names, packaging and materials suppliers, as well as product raw materials and a list of distributors and custom manufacturers/packagers, and consultants.

Certificates of Free Sale - CCTFA issues Certificates of Free Sale to Active members. These are affidavits signed by the CCTFA attesting that specific products are freely sold throughout Canada. Certificates are routinely required by foreign governments to facilitate entry of the product into their country. For further information, click here.

The CCTFA Foundation

Look Good Feel Better® (LGFB), a free public-service program dedicated to helping Canadian women living with cancer to learn cosmetic techniques to manage the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. In order to support this program, membership in the CCTFA is required.
